The dog sidekick is now at a stage where with a few tweaks he should be nearing completion. He's looking suitable as he is, but I feel he needs something else to fit perfectly into the scene...
Suddenly here it feels like his personality is coming to life, he seems to be working better and seems like I can have a lot of fun with him...
I still want there to be two dogs, still keeping the same basic design and the twin look, but I want one of them to have a subtle change...
This was the initial turnaround for the first design of the dog...
This second turnaround for the design of the dog alot more appealing and comfortable, for viewers and to animate. He isn't leaning forward as far, and the form and silhouette is much simpler and easier on the eye...
I didn't think the changes on the second dog were working, and keeping the dogs with the same design will mean that the difference in animation will show off their personalities. So keeping the difference to just colours and maybe a subtle patch design will work better...
